Susan serves as the founder and CEO of Tour de Force Partners following a successful career in leading multiple executive service lines in provider-based healthcare. Her goal is to bring 25 years of executive leadership experience and her studies in Organizational Leadership to create positive change in leaders and their organization's performance.
Susan served as the Chief Quality Officer for Adventist HealthCare, located in Gaithersburg, MD, since 2001 where she established governance and strategies to drive continuous and accountable processes for measuring and improving the quality and appropriateness of patient care services. This included leading system-wide performance management approach and deployment, clinical effectives, and electronic medical record optimization.
She served on several boards focused on quality, safety, and prevention of domestic violence and abuse including serving as the chair of the Maryland Patient Safety Center. She currently serves on the Generation Hope Board while pursuing a deeper understanding of the art and science of leadership. Susan's passion for organizational effectiveness, leadership, and governance inspired her studies at Hood College, where in 2020, she received her Doctorate in Organization Leadership. As an author and CEO, Susan now focuses on creating positive change for leaders and their team’s performance.
The word “partner” is my philosophy of how we work together to achieve great results. This takes a mindset of being more curious than certain and learning from each other.
